Future IPSC Champion 12 Year Old!

I've stood directly downrange and filmed. Very specific circumstances under practiced controlled conditions. Of course there is risk, but no worse than I previously mentioned with car racing and the like.

yes you do. you see EVERY ONE of the 4 hits in the tires, which are in the direction of the camera man.
(shooters perspective)

Shot 1 top of the left tire
Shot 2 Between the 2 tires (not even hitting the target)
Shot 3 top of right tire
Shot 4 right of right tire(not even hitting the target)

you could even argue that #1 and #3 are above the target as the target is surrounded by a tire, yet the could of dirt from the impact is higher than the target (so it's either a high shot, or a shot that went thorough the rubber and started to deflect out)

as for the warning at the beginning "legal range, with expert and parental supervisions" that has nothing to do with "controlled" conditions at all. those statements do not exists and do not change the fact that he's showing unsafe behavior.

It's obvious this kid is shooting "for the camera" and forgetting safety.
 
Actually done that too, both with Stock cars and drifters. And as I've stated, stood downrange while bullets went by me.
You can't really judge the hits by the dirt splashes, the camera is at the wrong angle to show where his hits are and the path after. It is however completely obvious that nothing is impacting the camera, nor is the camera or cameraman in any danger at anytime. It is perfectly safe.
 
you couldn't pay me enough to photograph downrange.
Maybe with remote IR cameras, or trip-triggers, but not hand held in manual mode..
 
Dont agree or dissagree with what the videos makers did. I don't give a #### what they do, the kid could of hit the camera guy and I still wouldn't give a ####. This isn't the first gun related video that some have thought wasn't safe, and it won't be the last.
If they want to be "unsafe" in your mind, its their right. Just like those videos of guys zipping thru traffic on crotch rockets or guys firing shotguns with the stocks resting on their nuts. The world is full of stupid people who want to provide us with hours of internet videos to watch.
if you don't agree with it fine, thats your right, but guess what? No matter how much anybody #####es about what they did wrong the fact still remains thats its been done. So get over it and yourselves.

The comment about his hits, was aimed ( no pun intended) towards the match video more then the demo stuff.


for anyone that thinks that this will be used to show that IPSC is unsafe, get real. It just shows that there was a person who felt the video shots were worth the risk they took. Their life, their choice. If I want to make the same video and have enough trust in the shooter to do it, I will, because I can.

I see a shooter, regardless of age, who is shooting wildly out of control for his ability. I'm not saying that he doesn't ability or potential, but whoever made this video obviously made it with an emphasis on "Show me how fast you can shoot".

Change your glasses! Watch the plates and poppers fall or are you suggesting someone else was dropping the plates and poppers. I used to think the same thing until I watched a Master Production shooter go through a stage. If that was Sevigny, Leatham or Tyc shooting you would be going on about his form, speed etc.

The kid can shoot and from what I can see would probably wipe the floor with most B&C IPSC shooters in Canada. We even have a video expert on this thread who knows the kid shot high on several targets ignoring the fact it was a windy day and you can't tell poop where the kid was shooting.

Wow. All the poppers fall when the video is EDITED to a single clip of 6 steel falling down. Any half ass shooter can retake a video 50 times to make it look likes he's a pro.

Get the kid to do it during a match with no editing of the entire stage.

Oh good god. Seriously? The same could be said of any video that anyone posts highlighting any sport. Of course you only post the good ####. Some of you must have very boring lives that you feel the need to cut this kid down for making a cool little video.
