New to the site, any help would be great! Just got a new found interest in guns. Passed my non-restricted firearms exam and hunting course last weekend, and just passed my restricted firearms exam yesterday afternoon! Thrilled :p

now that you've taken your courses there are only 2 steps left.
step 2 send your papers to the gubmint.
step 3 do not fight against the obsession. If all goes well you will be compulsively buying firearms in no time.

Don't be afraid to ask questions ... and contrary to what some may say there is no such thing as a dumb question.

Thanks! I started all this just with the idea of only target shooting. But my mind is a bit more open to it all now. I think I'd like to get into hunting. But I'm going to start small, haha. Don't know if I can see myself shooting a deer! But ducks I'd like to start at. Maybe take the turkey course and check that out. I hear it's a lot of fun.

Gubmint, hahaha. They're already sent. Just waiting for them to come back so I can send in my picture and application. Shouldn't be a problem. Now I'm just debating what gun will be bought first! Probably a 22, simple, cheap, and everyone should own one, right? ;)

Although, there was this 100th anniversary John Wayne Winchester that I kind of really want, $2000 though? We'll see, haha.

Can't go wrong with a .22. Most are affordable unless you go into high end stuff and ammo is cheap. Why go out and shoot 20 rounds when you could go out with a .22 and shoot 500 :D

Well there is a few, depends on what side of town you are on. EOHC is to the East, RA centre down near Riverside and Bronson, Connaught to the North West, Stittsville has one......I go to EOHC for the relaxed enviroment, very quite you often have the range to yourself!
