Where to buy "premium" 1911 mags?

I have a low tolerance for filling out paperwork. Anyone know of a good retailer, online or otherwise, who can provide these magazines without the hassle or an insane markup? Thanks in advance.

I'd go with Chip or Tripp Cobra ... well - Kimber Pro are good too.
If you play in the dirt and/or need durability (reliability over long period of time) - skip Wilson.

What about the mags that DLASK sells, they look to be of high quality. STI as well.

X2 for Tripp Cobra mags.They are the best that I have tried for my 1911s,and Ive tried Wilsons,CMC,colt,shooting star amongst others.

Order direct from them.They are great to deal with and will ship to Canada.The present Xchange rate helps as well.

Order as many mags as you want and they will break it down into sub-$100 shipments for export purposes. And as others have mentioned, with the exchange rate being what it is right now, this is the time to do it!

I agree. Wilson's are great mags, but I've always found them a little delicate for really hard use. I have 8 stainless Chip 8-round mags with the Shooting Star followers and never had any problems.

Those are quality mags, will not let you down but they are not 'premium' mags.
For $15 a mag you cannot go wrong with those. I have 6 of them and not an issue.

+1, Dlask mags are very good quality mag, never have problem with it.

+1 on the Dlask mags; they are decent for the money. They are made in Italy by ACT-MAG and are also sold be Wolff, Novak, and others. They aren't 100% in my gun with wadcutters, but work flawlessly with any other bullet type I've tried.

Thanks for all the tips. I've placed an order with Tripp. They were very helpful, and it was easy as pie. I'll post an update, if warranted, for anyone using the "search" feature in the future...

mecgar never given me a problem...

35$ for 10rnders.... way cheaper than chip or wilson

mecgar are good, chips 10 rounders are great, i switched to them over the kimbers, i found the kimbers springs were way to soft and did not reliably lock my slide after about only 30 loadings. they are better now that they have wolff springs in them.

Just an update for anyone using the "search" function in the future. The Tripp mags are great. A little trouble seating them at first, but nothing a good, solid smack couldn't fix.
