But can you point out specific examples? The burden of proof lies with he who makes the claim. Destroyer carbines were nearly all made in 9mm Largo with a very small number chambered for .38 ACP and 9mm Luger. There are no other known variants.
There are literally dozens of British and European handgun cartridges, most of which are antiques, for which no rifle has been known to have been made.
Who made this rifle in 7.62mm Nagant? Are you talking about the cartridge for the Russian gas seal revolver, or one of the other Nagant revolvers?

10 years ago, there were guns in my local Canadian tire store, but since they moved to the other side of the parking lot and changed management, they stopped carrying rifles...but they still have ammo, some that i suspect they carried over from the old store.
Wallyworld has a lousy selection, i mean no .308 or .223 but they had a metric assload of shotgun shells.
Ammo is cheaper at the local sporting goods store anyway.

I believe wholeheartedly in supporting my local gunshop....always do.
I do find it heartening though, that a "mainstream" store like Canadian Tire still has some locations that aren't afraid to use the word gun.
I forgot to mention before - the Red deer store I visited had a couple of new Poly M14', and 20/5 round mags for them!
Just for fun, I'll be saving up my CT money, and hopefully be able to buy a rifle entirely that way at some point.

Not sure why you are excited....
We have some great local gun shops in the GVRD and WS are generally "dicks" to deal with by most accounts.
I am a little worried that WS will hurt the smaller shops...I hope most guys will choose to avoid WS.

I was lost near moncton and got gas at lyons country store.
They had 10x more ammo then the CT in charlottetown, and 100x more hunting clothing.
I know how you feel brother! But with the poor shopping experience I had have with WS, I guess I won't make a trip there.

The CT In Grand-Falls got a few guns as well and decent prices, they got mossbergs and remingtons, shotguns, rifles and rimfire. Quite a few model 770 and they also had one nice black 887 nitro mag.
