What'e the best thing about owning a Norinco???

Is it the bargain price? - NO

Is it the unexpected reliability? - NO

Is it the part interchangability with the worlds most popular guns? - NO

Is it getting the impossibly broken english safety manual with every puchase? - YES!

Put a copy of this on the back of the john and your bathroom bound guests will have hours of entertainment.

My favourite is: #6 Never climb trees, do hurdle race or leap over other obstacles with a loaded pistol.

Norinco Safety Manuals - the arch nemesis of english teachers everywhere!

Agreed - the Engrish is awesome. Gotta give them props for trying, though.

I have the CQ 556A, and like many here, I harbour that whole Zombie Armageddon fantasy, but if you ever get to see the 556's cover, they have UFOs on the front cover!! (WTF?)

I never got the manual for my 1911A1, but my JW14 has a couple of Engrish funnies in it.

JW14: Since the rifle is provided with the bolt blowback - operated and inertia locked, trigger with the firing pin parallel moved, and safety device of the trigger, ensure it reliable and safe.

I have a norc 1911A1 and the CQ556. Both have been excellent for me. No problems yet(knock on wood). But the engrish is very funny in the manuel for the 556. Kudos to kodiakjack for starting this thread.

I love the M4 manual and have thought about making up a T shirt that says "Norinco CQ-A-556" at the top, and "Enjoy a better Annihilating Firepower" at the bottom with a pic of the gun in the middle. No American firearms manual would even come close to a statement like that.

I think I've had more fun with my Jw-25a's manual than the actual gun.

As I quote:

"JW-25A .22 Sportinting Rifle Manual of Operation"

"The Metal Parts of the rifle are made of fineguality steels and properly heat treated."

"Also some advanced. Technigues are employed in the stock"

gotta love Norinco's Advanced. Technigues and the fineguality steels. :dancingbanana:

I should take some pictures of it, the drawings are horrible, and the Norinco star trek logo doesn't even look aligned properly. Its also covered in cosmoline stains. :D

my 1911 didn't come with a manual unfortunately.

That "the operator enjoy a better annihilating firepower within 460 meters" part makes me want a Norc M4, because when I buy a gun the first thing I look for is annihilating firepower. :D

Ya, you gotta love the Engrish used in the manuals. Sometimes I'll come across a good manual for a Chinese firearm and realize that I am disappointed. when I buy a new chinese gun, I actually look forward to reading the funny manual.
