AR Barrel Wrench?

I have the Smith Enterprises armorer's wrench and I'm very please with it. Positive grip and sturdy. I've built 2 uppers with it and it has not failed me yet.

Depends what you trying to do with it. I don't use do all armourers wrench anymore since most of the builds I do are with FF handguards

The best wrench for these ( will also work with standard barrel nut ) is the PRI

It will turn the barrel nut on Larue, YHM , PRI , KAC FF etc . Using the 2 or 3 pins on the standard barrel armourer wrenches don't work nearly as well on the FF nuts. The PRI goes far deeper and has zero chance of slipping off. Much easier using torque wrench

The FF it will not work with is DD Light , DD M4 , URX , Colt 6940

Now that I have a dedicated CAR stock wrench I never touch my armourers wrench ( Smith Enterprises....IMO one of the better ones )

Best AR barrel wrench

Like other members doing their own AR 15 installations I too have gone through several makes of wrenches before I bought the PRI barrel wrench from Brownell's. This is now my mainline wrench for screwing on barrels and is rock solid, torques better as there are more contact points. Recommended to those who want the right wrench the first time!!
