Bushnell Facog

I have a Bushnell trophy red dot (the one that looks like an ACOG). It's not too shabby for the price, looks kind of neat-o, and fills the void in my life caused by being unable to afford an actual ACOG lol.

The one complaint I have about it is that even on the brightest setting (red), when it's bright outside, the 'T' is fairly dim. The green I can't even see at all. Indoors, both colours are very bright, so much so that you have to dial them down to almost the lowest setting so that they're not too bright.

I've had a couple other people I know who own them say the same thing with theirs.

I'm assuming this is a common problem and that's just the way they are, but I thought I'd ask here just in case.

Have you tried a fresh battery?

I went to sight mine in one day and wasted the trip cause the battery was low and wouldn't show up on the white paper.

You know, that had kind of crossed my mind but I dismissed it because it lit up and I assumed (maybe wrongly) that if it lit up, the battery must be good.........

Mine is borderline bright enough in bright sunshine. It depends on the background, how bright its lit and the colour.

I absolutely love that scope, and I am currently looking for a tacticool enough gun to mount one on! Lol. I just bought a 10/22 target tactical and thought about it but the damn thing shoots so well I need some magnification to see how she performs out past 25 yards!
