The only solid proof here, of anything, is that even "educated" persons can be downright superstitious & ignorant ! ;)

PS: This reminds of my brother who works in a research lab in the greater Boston area. His section is large & the professor in charge has several degrees and born/raised in Japan. One day they were chatting over coffee before the work day actually started & the professor in charge shows up kind of excited, and almost breathlessly exclaims:
"Did you hear on the news?" (empty stares) "Micheal Jackson's ghost appeared over---------!!!!"

What can you say to someone who thinks this way?

Lets see, take a picture, wait a few days so it disappears and now play a guessing game? We can play this kind of game in Ontario cause we ain't got a spring bear season to keep us huntin.

They said "rat like tail." Look at the tail in the picture above, but without hair. To someone that doesn't know what an otter is, it would look like a rat tail, no?
