Robarms XCR FAQ post

Guess I'll have to buy an XCR-L Micro pistol then but you guys can keep your 7.62X39 I'll be shooting 223 & 6.8spc... :D

7.62 in LAR

LAR mags work like a charm with 5 rounds of 7.62:dancingbanana:, go for 6 rounds and it,ll ftf. i didn't get any extra mags from wolverine, just use the LAR's
cueball

Yes, I was the one that posted John at Wolverine supplies is looking into it, However for the RCMP to even consider approving a 10 round mag for 7.62x39 XCR pistol, it first has to "qualify as a hand gun commonly available in Canada".

which means that Canadian's have to buy quit a few of these pistols first, probably more than the current number of XCR's in country, before RCMP will say it is a commonly available handgun in Canada :(

I would buy a 7.62x39 XCR pistol in a heart beat. Cheap to feed and fun as hell.

But how common are the AR-15 pistols the lar-15 mag was made for in the first place?

I realize this is an XCR faq thread, and I think this fits within that scope ...
if I am looking for a 7.62x39 tactical rifle, what options are out there beside the XCR

Yes there is and from what I understand they are testing one now but it will not be called Grendel, Les Baer has come up with an improved design called...

Les Baer’s New Caliber: .264 LBC-AR

One of the several new cartridge introductions at the 2010 SHOT Show is the .264 LBC-AR. Created by Les Baer Custom, the new cartridge is designed to be exceptionally accurate and consistent.

Les Baer’s literature states that this ammo in the Les Baer Ultimate AR rifles shoot “sub-1/2” MOA groups all day long” at ranges from 100-900 yards..

This is exactly the same round as the Grendel without all of the marketing issues.

Changing caliber, does it effect accuracy or reliability?

Hi,

I'm going to buy a XCR. I want a .223 but there are none to be found. I can buy a 6.8 or the 7.62 x 39. If I convert it to the .223 with the conversion kit will the rifle be just as reliable and accurate as a .223 directly from the factory?

Thanks for the feed back guys!

Awesome rifle!

Just a heads up,

I dropped by Wolverine Supplies the other day asking about a short barrel for my XCR. They said that they will not bring in any short barreled XCRs/Receivers/Barrels because they dont want to jeopardize the unrestricted status of the rifle.
