Where can I purchase a Sig p226 brand new in Ontario? Or a Beretta 92FS?

Those are the two I'm leaning towards, would like to hold a Glock 17 but I am pretty sure polymer is not my thing

much appreciated - are these some of the forum friendly/positively reviewed gun shops?

When the time comes I will be purchasing a 9mm handgun, ammo case, ear protection, eye protection, and a couple locks - hopefully do it in one shot

Al Simmons In hamilton but their prices are high as well!

Your best deal will be online! Look to the sponsors. Buying outside of Ontario will save you some money on taxes. Even after shipping on a thousand dollar gun you will probably get away cheaper.

Saw this picture online, im stunned at how good the wood grips look .. wish they were made of maple (tiger/wormy) but thats a personal preference

If you have a friend with a PAL, you can have him purchase it and store it for you. When you get your PAL and ATT, he can transfer it to you. Make sure it's someone you trust!

I was reading online that the new P226 has a machined stainless slide like the P229 - anyone confirm?

robertf: I remember you saying the P229 was built for the 40 cal, so if the new P226s have the same slide wouldn't it be equally as reliable for .40? something about .40 seems a little nicer to buy if the prices are the same

Anything Sig makes is reliable.

Remember what I told you about 9mm... less recoil means more accurate and cheaper ammo. This isn't a duty pistol, 9mm is plenty enough bang.
