Thanks CanAm, hopefully its 24 hours since SAN has been through this before and is developing a Canadian Compliant model.

The one on the far left has me drooling.

You can probably get the stock set for it...It's just a black special with fancy stocks.

Now the 7.62 version...mmm....I like a lot...Must...Fight...Urge...To...Own...:D

Actually the whoel firearm INCLUDING the magazine is coated in the specific finish.

They all look good but the SAPR still holds the most interest for me. Odds are good though that it will come with the same back up sights as fitted on the Black Target Special if it is coming as a flattop. I hope i am wrong though as i like the look of that railed diopter.

Those drum/ diopter BUIS are available now, but they cost ~$500. I guess the SAPR will have something like the front sight below but can't quite tell from the photos. Too bad, I love the hooded sight on the SG-55x series. Obviously I'm gonna' get one anyhow... :D

Even if it's not quite as accurate as the SR-25 or the LMT, if it comes in non-restricted at $4 to $5k it should still be a big seller.

There aren't enough good modern non-restriced guns in 308 out there. :(

There would be more if everyone didn't have such a raging hard-on for AR's, and AR-pattern rifles.

So do you scope this with the Schmidt and Bender 1-8x24 ShortDot PM ? Supposed to be good to 800m? Anybody seen or used it?

Which other 7.62 semis are out there to be imported that you don't see in Canada? The importers are doing a pretty good job of getting the market what it desires.
