Hello! I went to the range today to try my Poly M305 with a scope on it. I was shooting Winchester Power Point 150gr (19$ a box at SAIL) :D .The mount is a Sadlak, the rings is an Alphamount from Near, and the scope is a Burris Eurodiamond 3-12-50. I think its not bad for a first day with this settup. I was not expecting to much from a factory Chicom M14 but Im glad of the result out of cheap ammo at 100 yards. Next time I'll try it with some Hornady 150gr A-Max.

I am seeing the downward vertical pattern. Mine (same exact setup) does the same thing. 1st shot is high and then the rest group low. Then after about 15 shots they really start to wander lower and lower.

I think the Chi-Stock is to blame.

What you are seeing is possibly explained by the tip of the stock pressing out against the gas system ferrule

Read down in the poly vs. Norc thread where the fix is discussed. It doesn't cost anything, just some labour.

What tuning have you done to it or is it factory??? Interested in seeing the results with match ammo though it.

The only ''tuning'' on it is a Sadlak spring guide and the Spring that goes with it...

MagnumPeanut, did you have a hard time tuning the scope on yours? I mean, on mine, the Sadlak mount even if its properly sit on the action, it tend to go a little bit to the left....while sighting the scope, my first shots where wayyyy to the right..... Maybe caused by the Chinese Spec...go figure...?!

poly stringing dowm

mine shot two in one hole then started to string down getting lower as the barrel warmed up. the stock was touching the front band. after removing material so that there was a space between the stock and front band the string quite but my groups opened up
