Worth "resserection"!!! Where are the details? I demand a build thread and a parts list (IE a how to and shopping list)

I pm'd him a while back as well and didn't recieve a yea, nea, or go pack sand either. To each thier own I guess.

I'm just laying in wait on some parts to arrive before I get started on a SVT-40 retrofit (please grandpa's, save me the 'every ones a treasure' speech... there are more of these stockpiled in warehouses than they will ever sell... ever). I thought about the CZ but wanted the barrel length, 7.62x54r, etc. If I could afford to blow $3500 on a Medved-3 that be not a bad option either, but not unless I could get my grubby paws on a 7.62x54R instead of the availalbe .308 it'd be a mute point anyway.

That recievers going to be the bear though... especially for someone who's not a millwright. I haven't been able to source any reciever dimensioning info at all on the Drag so it looks like it'll have to be a welded venture(not being or knowing a millwright). Just going to have to scale the dimensions of pics I find online I guess. The parts pile plus rifle is sitting at around a grand so far. Should turn out nice though if I can scavange a few more key pieces... the 10/5rd mag would really make the project visually. No importers I've been able to find so far though.

Any other pics of this one you'd care to share?

Ive been trying to map out the reciever dimensions so I could fit the reciever... by the way what kind of wood would look the closest to the SVD stock

I signed up here ages ago looking for some info before I went and got my PAL... then I graduated... needless to say I'm yet to get my PAL, or a job for that matter. But a parts list for this conversion would certainly motivate me to get out there and take care of that (the PAL that is).

This has been my inspiration Dimitri. My wife is mad at you, you've cost her a lot of money:p

Since seeing the great jobs you've done completeing your other efforts you've got me going on a Dragunov (SVT-40), VSS Vitronez (CZ 858 Tact-2 non-res) and AKMSU Krinkov (CSA Compact) of my own, all at the same time... even a Tokarev pistol to boot. She says I've caught Scarlet (Red) Fever:D. I have to admit after 10 yrs of working on North American tactical this is refreshing. I like the feel of the wood and steel. Hopefully they'll turn out if I can get the colour right...

The nice thing is I've been able to do all of these so far for about the same as I was going to spend on a Swiss Arms 363 which would have been just another .223.

This way when the Russian zombies come screaming over the poles in 2012 I'll be able to speak to them in their own language... 7.62x54R:D.
