Does anyone know where I can find AR 15 mags 30rd pinned to 5? I have called just about every retailer in Canada. Does anyone have any mags they want to get rid of?

Thank you

Thats nice why not post the added costs of export permits and having the mags made legal for export? Maybe add some shipping costs and brokerage as well?

heh... alright so you're selling magazines at around 8x the value you would have bought them for. Explain why everything else you and the other gun retailers carry doesn't have that same markup when the other items still require the same steps?

I'll hazard a guess... How is this: If canadians will pay $40 for a magazine then why not sell them for $40?

Shipping cost maybe relatively proportional to the cost of the goods. However, insurance is a totally different thing. Insuring a shipment of magazine is less costly than say a shipment of firearms. Export permit fees are the same regardless of value too. Also, don't forget that magazines require extra work to ensure they meet the 5/10 rd regulations. Also, brokers don't just charge you a nickel and a dime for their service. Everything adds up to the cost.

I'm taking a guess here, but I assume you have never commercially import anything to Canada before? If so, there are a lot of steps and hoops to go through before you can legally import anything to Canada (and more so for high risk goods such as firearms). Everyone that helped bring those magazines over aren't doing it for free. So when everyone gets a piece of the cake, you need a larger cake to satisfy everyone.

I'm not saying that prices in Canada aren't overpriced when compared to the states. But remember our market is a small fraction of theirs. I'm sure you can get a better deal if you order tens of thousands of those magazines. But then, the importation fees and modification fees still apply.

Alright, the cost associated with importing and modfying magazine to comply with Canadian laws has been talked to death, pretty much the prices most of the retailers in Canada are within reason, if you think you can do it for cheaper than go ahead and do it than sell it on EE, I am pretty sure you will be able to cornder the market in this country in no time.

Just remember they have to pinned before they can enter the border, so you have to either set up shop in the US or hire someone down there to do it for you.
