M&P 9mm

I'm currently shopping for the same pistol and I had the same concern.

I spoke to the distributor who told me that they are all made like that, and that they had no problems with that issue so far.

By any mean if I can ask, how much did you pay for it, and where?

Enjoy !

Thanks for all the info. I just ordered mine today from Badger Arms (site sponsor) for $599 + taxes. I bought an extra mag at the same time for $46 +taxes. Can't wait to get it!

Badger arms supply, hands down best deal, and the service is unbeatable, and I figured since I wasn't even close to my budget with the M&P, I decided to grab a Norc 1911 for a little project gun and still have some to spare. Good luck

I shoot IPSC with mine - and I shoot well with it.
Only thin I have done is removed the "mag disconnect" - that way is easier to clear and make safe.

It is legal because u can get the m&p from the factory without the mag safety. Now if it wouldint be available, then yes it would be illegal.

Pharoh is correct. In Fact, the RSO's appreciate those who have removed them - Clear, hammer down and holster take on new meanings when you are inserting a new mag to hammer down. Mistakes can happen...

yes shot ipsc with mine, also had a discussion with some people about mag safety (always had an empty mag to put striker down). i was told unless it is the factory trigger group i would be moved out of production if i modified my safety. i might consider the the pro version as i like the m&p series. one person who did modified thiers had some problems with it later on. just keep an empty mag in your back pocket or had it to the RO during your run.

I shot the following at the club before deciding on what to buy as a first gun:
- Glock 17 (the worse)
- Beretta PX4( same as glock)
- CZ 75B ( pretty good)
- Beretta 92FS(so so)
- Colt 1911
- M&P 9( awsome)

out of all these, the M&P9 was the most accurate and easy to use/disassemble. and so, I bought one and was not disapointed.

This was exactly what I thought. I wonder where one could get one of these trigger groups? I wonder if the trigger itself is different feeling?
