AL FLAHERTY"S "Awsome AMMO buy"

Who cares if you don't want to buy them for that price? If I CAN and I WANT to, understand that and let it slide. I buy exotic ammo to collect. JHP 45ACP is hard to find so when I see it I'll buy a few boxes to collection. It would also be smart business. I paid $21.99 a box, I could sell it for $35 in the EE, no problem.... Will I? No. Could I? Yes.

I have a $500 knife. Can a $50 knife cut just as well? Maybe, but thats not the point. Same with fast cars, you don't need something that can do 300KMH but you CAN. Same with beautiful women. You don't need to bag a 10, that 50 year old fat cougar has the same plumbing, but you CAN nail 21 year old supermodel if you WANT.

I shoot my reloads, not JHP. Sure a 357 JHP at 50 yards will blow up a water mellon better than a FMJ, is that the only reason to own JHPs? No, but if thats your reason, why the hell not.

To the guy who said you can't shoot people, thats not true. You can shoot people in the face under certain circumstances and not even be charged... if a handgun is what you use for your home defense tool, why not have the best available rounds for it?

I am 21 and have been shooting for 5 years. I am enjoying the things in my life that I can now, because down the road, I know things WILL be different.....

Most of my pistol caliber shooting isn't done from a restricted handgun. I shoot 9mm, 38, 357, 44 and 500 with non-restricted rifles. I want pistol JHP ammo for hunting. Ball ammo ricochet too much when out in the field. There are more and more people like me. Yes, I do reload but only because of ammo prices. I don't enjoy reloading because I have to many other things I would like to be doing instead. LOL

At WSS 3 years ago, UMC 9mm 115 JHP 50 rd box was selling for around $13.

People vote with dollars (and usually get better results than voting with ballots!). Al's seems to be transitioning into a real shooter's store. They carry handguns, ammo, jhp now and are in Toronto. So with ammo, or black guns or anything, don't ask "why would someone want them.". Ask "should someone be ALLOWED to have them.". If you say "yes", then every time someone buys it they are supporting your postition. So maybe lay off the judgements since they are on your side. Toronto is the front lines...Al's is the last man standing.

True - I support Al's the guys there are nice. They added several display counters and are stocking CZ-858's and other non-fudd guns now.

Also if we want to spend our money on more expensive ammo that's our business. If we earn it we can spend it on what we want. You only have to pinch pennies if you're broke - or a cheap ass.

having seen the topic, i allowed my wife to take me shopping to Olympia tile... which is near Al's.:)

so, after the tiles, went in to Al's.

came out 3 boxes of 9mm later, and thinking i should've got more.:)

also took the opportunity to fondle a G17 gen 4. liked the way it felt in my hand.

thanks to the original poster for bringing this up!

It's very pathetic attidute when people who are to cheap or unfortuntely can
not afford to buy a certain type of ammo have to insult the ones who can. I feel sorry for you. What I buy and choose to shoot is my buisness not yours, you think I give a #### whAt type of ammo you shoot. I own a Dillon 650 and do all of my IPSC practice rounds. But I also am lucky enought to be able to afford to shoot hollow points if I choose. Maybe you should of stayed in school long enought. But what ever just stay out of my buisness lmfho at you

I guess that you stayed in school long enough (enought???) to make huge money but got out right before grade 4 spelling????

I love (hate) how some posts (ie this one) go from someone letting people know who are interested in cheap ammo (relative) into a sh!tstorm about why and how...... blah blah.

A fundamental problem with Canada and its gun regs is that sub-group "A" doesn't care about sub group "B" and is not willing to defend the other's rights to own things such as H.P's.

Questioning other's reasons to own certain things gives clout to the govt's reasoning for watering down OUR collective rights.

I love hollow points and buy what I can find. And roll my own.

I can guarantee you I pay more in taxes in a year than you make, not that it matters. Its not the price, its the fact that if you're not a collector, it makes no sense to have hundreds of hollow points to target shoot. Just like crossing the street when the light is green doesn't, but people do it anyway. You want to shoot hollow points at paper? Fine. All I said in my first post on this idiotic thread is that I don't understand the need to do that when regular ammo will do. Maybe your paper is more dense in BC. Its not about the money, its about a moron standing in front of a mirror holding two pistols in the air loaded with hollow points while wearing body armor and a helmet, covered in camo paint, while living in a suburban gated community. I'm done, go buy a truckload.

WOW. What are you basing that on?? What if someone told you that wood grips were silly, costly and an un-needed addition to handguns?

Watering down is watering down......

Buy what you want and I'll defend your right to do it.....

This thread is done.
