- slot on the end of the rail allows the use of factory irons
- lower hand guard will have the ability to add or remove rail segments

AGREED!! If it went farther back, I'd definitely be interested, too (and my rear sight's built into my rail, so I don't even need to chop anything off my rifle!)

Nope, just chicken diabetes.

If I recall, it does free float. Or at least as much as the current set up. It might interface with the little barrel clamp thing.

exactly. The new system does not touch the barrel, but there is already a clamp on the barrel that is integral to the existing molding.
