A couple Key features;

- there is no change in length of rifle and weight change is minor
- slot on the end of the rail allows the use of factory irons
- lower hand guard will have the ability to add or remove rail segments
- integral QD sling points

i will post one later this weekend. I just bought a new laptop and am having trouble converting files for upload. photobucket no longer allows pdfs

NICE!!!!
I was just thinking how great it would be if someone make something like this, while I was installing my 999 rail.

You need to make one that extends past the rear sight, my NV needs to be mounted further back.

Off with the rear site!

AGREED!! If it went farther back, I'd definitely be interested, too :) (and my rear sight's built into my rail, so I don't even need to chop anything off my rifle!)

If I recall, it does free float. Or at least as much as the current set up. It might interface with the little barrel clamp thing.

exactly. The new system does not touch the barrel, but there is already a clamp on the barrel that is integral to the existing molding.
