Looks like my next expense will be a 12 Ga Pump Action for IPSC and Trap/Skeet.

I don't know what barrel length I should buy to have best of both world if there is any...

For the model, some suggested a Benelli SuperNova others a Rem 870... suggestions ?

get an 870, that way of you find the 28" barrel too long, you can easily buy a shorter barrel to use for IPSC.

depends on if you want a 3" chamber. vent rib, etc.
You can pick them up sometimes for about $150.
Ellwood Epps has some IIRC.

Every responsible gun owner has at least one 870 in the cabinet.

Most have at least two.

Why the 870 compared to the SuperNova ?

way cheaper and parts and accesories are much much more easily obtained

I just bought a Mossberg 500 pump combo for $330 new with an 18" and 28" barrel. It's a good reliable gun and both barrels give you more options.
