400gr for the 45-70

I was searching for the Remmy 400 JSPs a while back as well and WSL was out of stock as usual. Ended up getting across the border. However, if u are wanting hard cast, ProLine in Calgary has 405g LRNFP in stock.

Where to find?

Friend, I highly recommend contacting the Bullet Barn in BC. They have great 405 grain cast bullets. They are 459 diameter, have the triple lube grooves and are gas checked. They have been excellent to deal with and I love these bullets in my Guide Gun. Give them a call. Take care.

For about a year I looked Everywhere for the 405 Rem. or 400 speers. I have come to the conclusion that they are a myth.
405 cast are ok, 420gr cast are much better, imho.
Hawk is the only reliable supplier I have found for .458 hunting bullets.

Occassionally I find 350gr Hornady's or speers. Wish Hornady made a 400gr.

I just talked to a friend that I got my last batch of Remington 405grFN bullets from and apparently he got them through WSS. That's where I picked up my previous supply, @ WSS in Edmonton.

In addition, yesterday I received a gift of a bag of 100 Remington 300gr SJHP to try out. Wicked looking little devils:).

Tradex is selling 405gr Woodleighs, I just ordered some. :)

Yep! 400lb Black Bear. Bang..! flop, dead Bear. No tracking.

Yes, for Woodleighs it doesn't sound to bad. When I picked up the four boxes of 215gr Woodleighs for the 303Br. from Corlanes in DC they were priced @ $49.99/box. I 'think' I got them for $45.oo/box because I took all four boxes they had left.

I believe they quit making the 405gr RemSP at least temporarily. I haven't seen them anywhere, and they weren't listed in the 2010 Rem Catalog. Sucks because I only have about 150 left.
