CZ 858-2 Tactical VS Ruger Mini-30

Both are Stellar rifles. If I wanted to hunt with that Caliber I would get both. the CZ for fun and the Ruger for Field. Ammo is cheap. the Liberals are not in Power. More gun shops are opening up. Life is good. So before it is to late and your Pissing out of a straw in a hospital bed in a room waiting to die, don't look back and go " Damn shoulda coulda, woulda, as your savings will be spent by your ungrateful kids. Leave them two fine rifles instead.

I have mentioned 3 times already that I fixed the rifle. Why are you people getting your panties in a knot? You act like there are no known issues witht the cz 858? Is that why you do tabbing for the bolt?:confused: Get over it.

LOL. You started the 858 slagging. NO ONE ACTS LIKE THE 858 IS PERFECT. You fixed your lemon and sold it off so why can't you let it go?

Had you presented your case in a factual manner, it would have had considerable merit. Instead, you came on like a troll. Then you can't figure out why guys are commenting on you posts.
 
I can only speak from personal experience but I have owned 3 SKS's (one Chinese Norc and two Tula Russian's ) and still own two (the Russian's) and I own one 858. Shooting the same ammo the 858 is significantly more accurate than any SKS I have owned. For that matter, it out performs in accuracy terms any of the four M14's I have owned/still own.

I held off buying an 858 but it is now amongst my favorite rifles to shoot and is usually with me every range trip.

Wannabe ??? Sure, just like when I shoot my Garand, Enfield, Mauser etc from the bench at the range as opposed to hauling ass thru the mud - tired, cold, wet, hungry and being shot at. You obviously have greater testicular fortitude than the rest of us :)

The cz858 is a lemon out of the box. Don't deny that the cz858 does not have problems, it does and it is very common.

The girl I sold it to loves the size at weight of the cz858 because it fits her 5'3 100 pound body perfect. :dancingbanana:

They are and always have been second-rate civilian sporters.

You have a sample size of one for your "lemon out of the box" theory.

You clearly do not know enough to know what you don't know, as the saying goes.

All CZ's do not have problems, not by a long shot. NO ONE IS f**kING DENYING ANYTHING .

I never said ALL cz858 have problems. Where did I say ALL cz 858 have problems? Lots of cz's have GREMLIN problems though. I personally know 3 people who have the so called gremlin.

Yes the gremlin is a documented fact. There are a number of very cost effective means of dealing with it if your rifle displays this trait. There is a very rational explanation for why the gremlin occured, so it is nice that there is a "easy" fix for it.

You have removed track further up from an already derailed train.

I mean, really, the CZ is so damn accurate out of the box, the SKS's I have are a hit and miss cause of the trigger. I can shoot as accurate at 50 yards (doubt the 100) but it takes 3 times longer cause you have to squeeze the trigger like crazy.

I would recommend the CZ even for hunting with a nice FAB polymer kit and recoil reducing buffer stock, it is really nice, but not unless somebody will come up with a good solution for a scope mount.

I have 3 x SKS, 1 x CZ and 3 x Mini 14 btw, love them all.

Don't hunt with the SKS, not accurate enough.

Cz 858's dont shoot any better than a russian or chinese sks. Spend a few more dollars and buy a rifle that is worth the price tag and buy that ruger mini 30, your won't regret it .

I bought the CZ for the same reasons I bought my other 20 firearms....I'm a firearm enthusiast, not a wannabe. I have no desire to dress up in camo and go running around my neighborhood at night, being all tactical and stuff. All my firearm purchases are based on price, research I have done in regards to reliability and quality of the gun(doesn't have to be ABSOLUTELY flawless) and just how interesting the gun is to me. I have a feeling MOST people on this site are FIREARM ENTHUSIASTS...not wannabes...except you.
