Does anybody know a manufacture that makes synthetic plain, black butt stocks for the CZ 858?

I want to put a aftermarket fore stock on, and the factory butt stock looks weird. Something about wood and plastic looks funny.

I'm not a fan of the folders, I just don't get a good cheek weld on those.

All I could find on the EE and online, are factory folders, factory butt stocks, and collapsible folders and regular collapsible stocks.

Thanks,

I saw a picture of one with regular solid AR 15 stock with AR15 adapter for CZ. Surprisingly, it did not look too bad.

If I could find my camera (daughter borrowed it - time to buy a new one!) I would post my "black" CZ. Remove the buttstock , degrease it (brake cleaner, kerosene, gas...) and give it a light sand with 150 grit - use a wood file to smooth out the seam. degrease again and use Krylon flat black spray bomb (canadian tire). follow the directions - use a couple of coats. Looks great - only problem is bug dope seems to remove the krylon, easy repaint.

cheers

Yeah--what he said. I fired on about 6 coats of tremclad textured flat black and then finish it with a couple coats of exta flat black cammoflage paint. The texture and colour match my FabDefense pistol grip and the black factory synthetic hanguards quite well. The textured finish stuff hides the imperfections. It shows no signs of peeling off after nearly a year's worth of use.

Thanks guys, that sounds like a fun little project. I will have to check out the local CT tomorrow.

I just bought a 858 on the EE and it comes with both factory folder and factory wood stock.

There's a FAB Defence recoil reducing stock, on the EE right now, but it's in OD green, I'd prefer just black. There's just something great about black guns...

As mentioned:

- Take the factory stock and sand it to remove seams, etc.
- Brake cleaner.
- 10 light coats of black bedliner.

Once fully cured (about 2-3 week) it's as hard as fiberglass.

Quite attractive too!
