Is my FH crush washer on backwards?

I posted some pictures of my new midlength AR on another site and someone responded that the crush washer was on backwards -- is that true? If it is how big a deal is it?

 
Someone please explain to me why it matters.
Fwiw, I put all of mine on with the thin portion towards the fh as you've shown.
 
The idea is that the best "bearing" surface arrangement is to have the small circular portion fully contact the barrle shoulder and hte "sharp" end "cuts" itself a few thou into the FH to prevent it from unscrewing.
 
make a index mark with a magic marker, shot few hundred round downrange, it the FH is unscrewing itself, than flip it, if not take some solvent and wipeoff the index mark, so you don't look like a noob.

That sounds like the trick. I'll give it a shot -- the rifle was put together by a guy with a good reputation so I suspect the FH is torqued correctly so it's unlikely to loosen.
