Scout or handgun scope on NEA upper guard for CZ 858?

I just bought a new CZ 858 and would like to use some kind of scope with it. I am doing reasonably well with iron sights, but I would like to see how accurate I can be with a scope. I looked at different set ups and so far NEA railed upper handguard looks like the best solution to me. I would like to hear from people that used that set up with the scope of at least X6 magnification. What scope worked well for you? What about scout vs. handgun scope? I will be using ACE stock on it, so it should be pretty much in line with the rail.

How are you mounting the ACE?

If you are using a NEA stock adaptor why not get the cantilevered rail for it as well?

Charles, I have a hard time using your web site for some reason with Firefox.

I don't keep up on all the AR add ons but I thought ACE stocks could be used on your existing AR style adapter.... guess not?

Yes, I am considering this set up also, but would like to hear from people who used scout or handgun scope on their CZ. Chopper1, where are you? I saw a scope there on your CZ.

Can-down, ACE ARFX stocks can be used with existing NEA adapters. The one I use is AKFX. It needs different adapter.

^ I find firefox sux for a lot of things, if you are having a hard time watching the clip, put it on low definition I had to do that too.

Sorry to ressurect such an old thread. Currently I have NEA upper handguard and TRS-25. I am thinking about mounting scout/pistol scope. I was thinking of trying out either 2*20 scope or 2-7*32 scope (something like BSA Edge pistol scopes or Simmons ProHunter pistol scopes). Perfect eye relief will be around 30 cm or 13 inches. And I do not think magnification over 4* is needed.
I could not find even one similar here where I live, so can not even evaluate, will it be forth it or not. That is the biggest problem, I cannot try it out, so if I decide to buy it, then no possibility to evaluate such solution beforehand.
Can anyone share their experience? Primary usage is target shooting up to 300 m.

If you are refering to mine, it does keep zero. You can remove the scope, shoot iron, put the scope back on and it hits where you aim.

Does your scope hold zero once you remove the handguard for cleaning?
