Mailman brought me my first black rifle today, pics!

it will be shot indoors, we're talking 50 meters so is windage even an issue?

That's the easy part.

Your eye will naturally center the rear aperture to itself, so all you have to do is a) put the front post in the centre of the aperture, and b) put the front post on target. As long as your sights are reasonably close to zero for windage and elevation, you will hit your target.

Welcome to the AR (and clones :D) addiction!!!

Have fun shootin' that thing!!!

Nice Carbine, the cool thing about 5.56mm is that for practical purposes, elevation is a non-issue, though you might want to do some fine tuning on the windage (it won't be anything major at 50m). These are great rifles for what we're allowed to use them for, very reliable and decently accurate. One thing to remember though (I've said this before) you have a new major problem - these things eat ammo like fat kids eat smarties, there is no way you can buy or produce enough ammo to satiate your rifles urge to shoot. Get some 10 rounders (which work perfectly) at least you won't spend as much time practising mag changes.

Got two 10 rounds and a coupler already :), 1000rds of ammo. That should be good for the summer lol

Very nice that is certain. Now a question for everyone that is critical of these guns, what makes a gun a "copy". Any manufacturer that produced a AR after Armalite would also be considered a m4gery correct? Or does this only apply because it is Chinese made? Just trying to understand is all.

Uhhh... hate to burst your bubble here. I bought a CQ-5.56 too and 1000 rounds is not gonna be enough. Might put your ammo dealer on speed dial too. I'm expecting my own parking spot at their shop soon.

very nice gun!
i was thinking about getting one myself.
im currently looking into preordering it from marstar.
Did you get your gun with the rail and the stock? and how much was it?

Greasy greasy rifle...

Since it's your first AR.. heres something to do right off the bat. :) Dont be afraid to do this... it's important.

Get on youtube and learn how to take it all apart and put it all back together again... do it a few times. Next, lay all the parts down on the table and take some q-tips and get all the orangey type packing grease off of everything... all the parts, all the inside of the upper reciever, etc.
Next, Put a good coat of oil on all the parts and let it sit for a while so it will disolve the rest of the left over grease. Finnally, slam it all back together and cycle the action a few times, you will notice a considerable difference.

Just make sure the bottom/forward of the bolt carrier and bolt face are clean and dry. The bottom of the bolt carrier strips the new round off the mag, if it's oiled up it will jam. Make sure the bolt face is dry because the bolt face has the extractor, which need to be free from oil so it will latch on tightly to the back of the shell when it rips back and pulls it out of the chamber.

Cautions: 1: When you pop the rear take down pin, carefull not to let the barrell flop down forward as you can damage the front take down pin.

2: You never have to use tools to pop or re-seat the take down pins, keep them oiled and they should work fine.

3: Keep the chamber/barrell lightly oiled "when not in use", but make sure the chamber/barrell is clean and free of oil when your ready to shoot.

I'm sure others will have some more advice, but this will get you started. Enjoy bro, i can't wait until myne arrives.

Cheers.
