fiber optic for a marine magnum?

I've tried to take the bead off my marine magnum to replace it with a simple thread in hiviz one. I cannot get this bead out and now have messed the finish on it.. What am I doing wrong or does this bead even come off? What are my options?

I don't think the bead comes off. I put a XS big dot on mine which goes over the bead and can be held on by JB weld.

That definitely looks like an option.. now I just have to find a retailer with one!
