22lr BULLPUP grey area!! ??

Just when I thought canadian gun laws could not get any more ridiculous, now they say that if you can take the action out of the stock - thereby making it completely innacurate and utterly useless, and, in fact the very same action that you could take out of any 10/22 (if for some crazy reason you wanted to..) - then it should be prohibited based on that fact....who pays these idiots salaries???

not really what they were getting at! prohibited to take an action and modify it to be "bullpup" (short configuration with the trigger forward of the action)
BUT!!!!! if you build the reciever "bullpup style" that cannot be fired seperated from the "stock" it is LEGAL!!!! wow did the guys that came up with that secretly legalize pot to! they were smoking something! but I do love these loop holes!!!:ar15:

yes, legal, no grey area. It is a new firearm of "modular bullpup design".

what do you mean by modular bullpup design? i talked to my local cfo and he had no clue how to register this design? his first words were "bullpup, no it is prohibited" after telling him that I was not modifying an existing rifle, that this would be a new one piece reciever with all the legal descriptions of a non-restricted rimfire rifle he said "build it and phone the registry to register it"
could it be that simple???? so today I start the machining! :ar15:
