At this point, I just use my rifle cleaning rods for cleaning handguns, but I would like a rod that is shorter and handier to use than the butt section of a rifle rod. Where to find them, one for .22 and one for 9mm and .44 Mag?

Are there any other handgun specific items you find useful for cleaning? Maybe a bore guide for cleaning revolvers, seeing as how we must clean from the muzzle end? My Redhawk shoots fantastically well and I don't want to screw that up by doing damage during cleaning.

Thanks,
Mark

Parker Hale makes cleaning rods in the large calibers and .22 caliber as well for handguns. They are very nice and plastic coated as well. If you cannot find them Del Selins in Vernon BC sells them. They advertise on here as well.

The otis kits are good, as are some of the RedHead products. BP has their Delux kit on sale for $38 and it comes in a nice wooden box. You might want to take a look at that.

For quick cleanings I use a boresnake.
