Safariland 6005 Question

I was recently considering getting a Safariland 6005 for my S&W M&P but I had a few questions I couldn't find the answers to browsing the internet and asking around.

Does the actual holster itself remove from the leg harness? Is there a conversion kit so I could also wear it on my belt?

Anyone have any negative experiences with it? A lot of buddies swear by them so I'd like to hear the other side.

Do they work for IPSC or IDPA?

Good luck finding all of the answers you need. Safariland's product line is confusing, and not even their own reps understand what's going on.

1) Removable from leg harness: Yes. Unscrew 3 hex screws to unmount holster body (Old 6004s are mounted with 2 screws and aren't compatible with the new platforms)
2) Wearing holster on belt: Yes. You'll need a Universal Belt Loop (UBL) plate
3) Conversion kit: They make a Molle Locking System (MLS) which is a series of locking plates that allows you to swap the holster among several platforms without unscrewing the holster body each time.
4) IPSC/IDPA? I don't think tactical holsters are legal
