I've been told I should be practicing IPSC standard excercises, so where do I find these exercises?

Second, I'd like to build a couple of the mini forward falling poppers. The design of the popper itself is in the rule book but I can't find anything on the latching mechanism so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the plans or maybe a picture of the back of the popper.

Thanks
Daryl

You've been told by whom? And what exactly they meant by "standard exercises"? You know, you should not listen to everything you're told (including this message).

As for poppers - there is a standard for sizes, but I believe there is no standard for actual construction.
There are poppers that fall forward, and others fall backward, and there is a number of designs for both types.
In fact, standard falls short on specifying an angle at which popper should be in normal position, so some forward-falling poppers lean forward at a degree that makes them much harder than rear-falling ones.

In a forward falling popper the catch can be as simple as a piece of angle welded on the back side of the popper with the catch on an adjustable arm that pivots on the popper base so that the weight of the popper holds the 2 together at a foward angle. If u pm me I can mail u a copy of the orginal design. This design was developed by me to easily covert the existing backward falling poppers to the forward design about 18 yrs ago
