I have one and I just love it. As the prev. poster said they feel better if you have large hands {which I do} They are very well made and work great just like all CZ's do. Mine shoots excelent as well with everything I put in it.
I've seen them at milarm and they list them at wolverine. Also at wildwest in the big mall. I'm scared to touch one because then I'll have to drag it home.
The gun will outshoot most shooters by a lot. Gun is to heavy, although one owner has one that ways 39oz or less. for IDPA. My son has one that he has put less than 100 rds through that he might want to sell if the OP is interested. I haven't talked to him recently about the gun but will ask if you want. He likely would give you a good deal on it. PM me if you are interested.
I love mine and may spend the buck to have the full length dustcover cut back to make it legal of CDP in IDPA.
I only shot a single mag through a club 97B and, at 7 yards, my accuracy was nowhere near that of what I do with the Shadow. I have a 1911 STI Trojan and a .45 CX4 Storm on order, and am kinda looking for another .45, so I was wondering if I should try the 97B again.
It fits my hand very well compared to the 75 B or a 1911. It is a large heavy pistol ( full metal no tupperware) that soaks up the recoil from the .45.
The only problem I have had was jams with semi wad cutter bullets. The bullets were hanging up in the mag on the leading edge of the feed ramp. So I run semi wad cutters in the 1911 and the round nose in the CZ. I think that the CZ is more sensitive to the OAL than my other .45s
The 10 round single stack mags are nice compared to a 7 or 8 rounder in the 1911. And I can see the holes in the targets much better than the 9mm CZ75
Some work others don't. The feed ramp can be worked on by a 'smith to accomodate SWC and HP ammo. The issue arises due to the fact the Czech Republic does not allow SWC ammo I am told so CZ either couldn't obtain the ammo or just missed designing the feed ramp to accomodate SWC/HP ammo.
