So I had an earlier thread about this gun & thought I would have to wait awhile for mine to come in, well I got a call from the guys at Reliable seems some one backed out of their order Now I am the proud owner of a short barreled 357 Woo Hoo! Gotta love the CFO here I can pick it up tomorrow, called in at 20 to 5 & they said it will be processed by noon tomorrow going shooting Canada day great way to celebrate the day :dancingbanana:

why would someone back out from that gun!?!? did ya get the stainless or blued?

Which model is it, an old Security Six/Speed Six or one of the newer heavier guns? I was fond of those Security Six revolvers, but the GP 100 is probably the better gun if it is going to get a steady diet of .357s.

Congratz PG!

I took mine out a couple days ago to pop her cherry and mine (first revolver) and I still got a big grin on my face! Comin' from only shooting 9mm, 357 is holy hell fun!!!

Man is she ever dirty though, still trying to get all the crud off the cylinders. I've tried a Hoppes lead remover cloth but not working so great...dunno if I wanna go the mag polish route cuz they're pretty abrasive, right?

depends on what you intend to use it for. i insisted on 4.2" for IDPA. yes, there's a Canadian exception allowing up to 6", but the US spec put the max at 4.2" - so this way, i'm covered both ways. also, i've tended to shoot better with a short barrel than a long barrel - i just hate the nose-heaviness of long barrel guns.
