My first thread post and I wanted to share my new arrival.:)

Nills magwell grips are on the way (once my end user certificate clears.......for grips:eek:)

I also have a stainless guide rod on the way to rectify my only disappointment which was the plastic guide rod, not a functional issue, but plastic????

I am also very interested in opinions on lubrication for the all stainless frame and slide. I use breakfree CLP impregnated on a cloth for wiping down and as a direct cleaner on my other auto, with Weaponshield applied on the rails for lubrication post cleaning. Will this suffice for the stainless? I do a full clean after every shooting session.

Cheers,

Beautiful gun - I did not like the heft of the pistol so I went with a nitron Sig, but if the weight were less I would have loved to own the stainless elite 220, 226, and 229

Grayguns are SIG gurus IMO

Thanks Rivalen, great article, looks like I need some grease!!

I like the heft thus far, it seems to point very naturally.

Get the Sig grease or a tub of regular moly.

Two votes for grease. Thanks for your feedback everyone!

I personnaly use "Brian Eno's slide glide", it's a bit expensive, but it doesn't use that much: Like on the article I put a large amount and everything that gets spited out of the slide rail on the first time I put it on gets back in the bucket.

I use medium on my 9 and light on 22lr. The few OZ of slide glide I got will last for years imo; I havent used half of it yet.

Thanks Rivalen, I was just checking out the Eno's slide guide site, I will likely pick up some medium when I can. Any good distributor's for it in Canada?

I got inspired and used the TW-25b sample pack that came with it to relube the gun just now. Looking forward to getting it to the range.

Cheers,
