Are those Fox Red's still pure blood labs?
Yup, still pure. On paper she's a yellow. Yellows go anywhere from white to reddish... this breeder (and some in the US) have breed redder dogs over generations to get them very dark.
Hard to recommend anyone until you define a little more what you are looking for. Are you looking for a field trial champion, show champion, obedience champion, hunt test champion, top-shelf meat dog (waterfowl or upland - flushing or pointing). Is the dog going to be both a house pet as well as working dog? Additionally you need to determine other characteristics such as drive, temperament, looks, size, trainability, etc.I am looking for a top of the line breader for a black labrador retrive in Canada or the us what are some good breeders out there thanks
My recommendation is if you want a lab get one from a good kennel.
Make sure you get papers and a guarantee on the hips. You won't take the dog back for a refund, but the kennel's reputation is riding on its guarantee.
Field or show background is next.
We went show route and got a beautiful lab from Corhampton Kennels in Parry Sound.
Be prepared to pay $2,000.
Good luck
