I feel youTotally agree with that.. same goes to the beretta neo (or whatever it's called) and the walther P22. At least the mosquito *does* look like a pistol.
Awww come on. I like the space gun looks of the Neos.
Pew Pew.

I thought about getting a SIG Mosquito, but then i thought maybe i should just get a .22 conversion kit for a 1911.

given the same dollar figure, unless you have no friends or you're antisocial or selfish, i'd say get a separate pistol. kinda hard to take someone new with you and hand them just a barrel & mag and say "well, that's all i have, so, um, yeah, good luck with that!"
What about training with your existing pistol for much cheaper to be a better shot instead of going from one pistol that shoots a certain way to another that's completely different? Ie trigger pull, handling, feel ..etc..etc.. I have 6 conversion kits. I'm very selfish![]()

There are always advantage to own and shoot more different guns.
Trigun
yeah, at that point, it's alright - but one gun plus one conversion is probably too limiting. if you have 3+ normal guns and a conversion for each, then it's a pretty good setup.
as long as they're not all slightly different shades of 1911![]()
So I recently traded a fellow CGNer for a Sig Mosquito, and I have to admit I was a little nervous taking her to the range today! With all the BS I have read online about FTF, and FTE I was expecting to have to go through all kinds of ammo to find something to work.
So I went to the range and picked up 2 boxes each of Blaser, Thunderbolts, Yellow Jackets, and some blue box Federal. Of all the ammo I bought only the Federals were really bad and didnt cycle at all. The Yellow Jackets had an occasional feed issue, which I think was just because of the shape of the bullet, but the Blaser, and Thunderbolts worked flawlessly! I put 100 rounds of each through her with no issues at all!
So in the end I am very happy with my purchase! It just so happens that the Blazer, and THunderbolts also perform extremely well in my 10/22 so I am set with this gun! Now I just need to find a good source for a case of Blaser, at a good price! LOL
I heard the trigger pull is a little heavey..??? Any truth to that?
I heard the Mini-Mags work flawlessly, but they are a little pricy, and hard to find right now in Southern Ontario!
All .22's feel like toys IMHO! The only decent ones out there are conversions for the Glocks, or Sig's, and 1911"s! Or the CZ Kadet which was my first pistol, but it to is essentially a conversion, just like the Classic .22 Sig's. I wasnt looking to spen alot on a .22! For the 400 bucks I dont think you can get any other .22 that isnt a space gun! Im not a Star Wars fan so I wasn't feeling the Rugers, or Buckmarks!
