Shorty M1A, M14, M305 projects ...

Still a work in progress, but...

Is that a new one you got?

Yes, that is also a Troy MCS stock, though in black and with different buttstock and grip than I used.

@speckfire:
Everything is for sale for the right price or trade ;)

LOL @ your right price sale or trade comment Claven2. I'm going with AR Cadpat for my McMillan folder stock on my shorty M14 after a discussion with "murdoc" ... then paint all the metal in dark earth or desert sand ... gotta figure out the colors first. :D

I honestly cannot say why, but I personally prefer to leave the steel bits parkerized in colour. No rhyme or reason to it ;)

And as I said, EVERYTHING is for sale. If it hasn't been sold, it's because the right price hasn't been offered to the right person ;)

I'm not actively looking to sell any M14's though ;)

I'll provide an updated photo of this one in a week or two when the optics are back from Leupold (overhaul).

My LRB. I've still got to take her out for a flashy photoshoot... not a great pic.

Which GLFS do you have on your rifle? Is the sight base higher than the one on the Vortex? If not, why not put the front sight on the sight base on the vortex instead?

Both vortex and GLFS are SEI and the same height. I'm partial to the GLFS for mounting a sight... i feel they're more grunt proof. The sight on the FH has a chance of being knocked around more. Just my thoughts...

My thoughts are the sight on the GLFS will loose zero every time you have to disassemble your rifle for cleaning. If I had that setup, I'd either get the M14Doc UFS mod to my gas cylinder, of use the base on the FH.

yes it is indeed an M14S-CQB from my bench, and no a folding stock adaptor will not work with it. The stock shown is a one of a kind custom M14S-CQB in that the entire forestock is a flipped upside down and grafted in (clone) Knights handguard rail :D

In my dealer page (click link in sigline) there are options for taking your existing usgi fiberglass stock and modifying it to one of my 3 usgi stock mod designs, the M14S-CQB being one of them.

M14Doctor/Thomas, I'm sure you have tons of pm's but please read the one I sent in regards to my shorty project you switched out the barrels on and respond. Thank you very much as I love it,
