in what cal's did the winchester mod 88 come in?

I believe the largest case was the Winchester 284. Largest bore dia , 35 cal?

If memory serves the 88 came in .243, .284, .308, & .358. Had Winchester built a .35 caliber rifle on the .284 case for the 88 it would have been a powerhouse. I recall an article I read years ago in which a Savage 99 was chambered for a .375-284 wildcat, a cartridge which I believe potentially produced the most power available from the 99 or 88 rifles.

I love those rifles! My father hunts with a 88 in .308 pretty much exclusively. It's like pulling teeth to try and use it during moose season because he darn near sleeps with it! Anyone looking for a good 308 would be well advised to at least check out an 88. Other than that, i have no useful information to add to this thread.
