Sorry, but I cant find my answer myself.. What is the difference between the 2 Tavor models on CanadaAmmo? Is it simply an extra rail mounted under the stock optic? Is the rail worth it or are there better aftermarket models out there?

Factory Picatinny Rail with Rail-mount m21 Sight

vs

Factory Mount m21

Thanks,
Jesse

The rail version lets you use the M21 sight on other guns without the need for an adapter, the factory mounted version you will need to buy a rail, an adapter for the sight and a non BUIS gas block if you want to mount scope with a large bell with proper eye relief.

IMHO it is worth the extra money for the factory rail version, as I am currently change mine from one to the other, at the end the cost will be the same but just the extra hassle getting all the parts to do it.

NEA rails does not come with a M21 sight adapter.

Hmmm, you've got a point there. Here I was, all cocky 'cause I wasn't springing for the extra charge of $300 for an OEM rail. Instead I'll be stuck with an M-21 and no place to mount it.

Oh well, one more reason to buy the aftermarket rail, it justifies buying another optic LOL:redface:

If I can choose again I will go for the one comes with original rail.
Save you lots of time and it won't cost you much more (probable < $50) than aftermarket.

Eliminate the factory peeps and give yourself all the options of an AR.
