IPSC Ontario Provincials

I took 2 shots per popper which meant I had to do a standing reload to finish the paper, but it was still faster than running (for me). In hindsight I should have gone prone...

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed this stage. I took the targets from the 45m line kneeling with the wall as support, I don't take credit for the idea - I copied an open class shooter on my squad! It helps I'm a lefty so I could snug the frame up aganist the wall.
Took the paper first and then the steel, dropped a charlie delta on the paper but hit the steel first time all three.

Standing up moving with the reload I was amazed that I'd hit the steel! Great stage.

Took everything standing from the start one for one on the steel, then the little voice started screaming "RUN".

After having a full day to get back to everyday life... I am going to reflect on the Provincials.

Awesome stages
Awesome weather
Awesome team of officials
Awesome venue
Awesome match atmosphere
Awesome crew of workers
Awesome stats team
Awesome match committee

Barrie, once again, has set a very high standard!

Match committees from the past and present have now proven that they have what it takes to put on a great match at Barrie.

Now just think what that club could do if they put all their personal differences aside, left all the politics alone and all joined together as a team.

Nationals, anyone?

Thanks to Robert, Rachel, and Kent for their support in me as RM. Thanks to the CRO’s Kent, Karl, Bill, Henri, Ian, Cameron, and Georges for all their hard work… you guys made things pretty darn smooth. Thanks to all the Officials and workers that came out to help. Having over 40 people working a match on a Sunday afternoon was refreshing to see.

Cheers

Are those results posted to Euxx's site accurate? They show some people shooting a stage and not hitting a single A.

His system uses the "results" reports. Total hits are not part of that report (just points and time) so the system estimates the hits. It seems to underestimate on misses and overestimate on C's

The break down of the hits is an approximation, because standard reports generated by the WinMSS does't include the real hits. So, the worse hits are the more chances approximation is less accurate, but dropped points still would be the same. Basically, system of equations has many solutions, e.g. one solution may not include any mikes but no As either, yet real run had bunch of mikes and As. At the match there was plenty of long distance targets, so plenty of mikes had been made.
