Shorty .22

Easy guys, Since this thread is in the Dealer Forum, questions and requests for updates are expected. Some of us need to plan our purchases. I have a HUGE order in with another dealer and do not want purchases to overlap.

Do I need it that bad? No, but I do not want to miss the boat.

For those that want to TROLL, it is not worth commenting and we just hope they move along quietly.

CanAm has been good to me and I will continue to support them!

I never said I did, genius. I was simply pointing out that people here ARE showing patience.

If I needed a short barreled .22RF, I simply would have bought an off the shelf rifle and had the barrel chopped and re-crowned. There's no way in Hell I'd wait this long for anything if I truly needed it.

Except that would be illegal if it went under 18".

Key is to have it registered with CFC, some just install a shorter barrel
and don't change registration, big NO NO.

You aren't legally required to report a barrel length change to the CFC. However, you are required to inform the CFC if the classification of the gun changes. If you chop any shotgun or rifle barrel to below 18", the gun will most certainly become prohibited and you must inform the CFC of this result.

Swapping a factory barrel for a short sub 18" manufactured one does not affect the classification, and does not need to be reported.
