303's are ready...

Now all we need is someone to start making 215gr KKSP bullets... :)

Seriously though, this is a bright point in CGN history.

- A lot of the new mfr IVI .303 made for the Canadian Rangers is made with 215 gr KKSP. It comes in 20rd brown cardboard boxes. They only give out the new mfr 174 gn Mk VII Z for Connaught, I think, and mostly issue the 215 gr stuff for normal use so the lads won't hunt with 174 gn ball, though if someone is with the Cdn Rangers, kindly feel free to correct me.

- Which leads to the fol questions:
1. Is IVI making these 215 gr bullets, using 'old (VERY old) stock', or buying them from a sub-contractor?
2. If they are making them, does the GD contract with DND allow GD to sell the bullets (NOT the cartridges) commercially? Prob not.
3. If a sub-contractor, then WHO is making them?....

Clay are all the 303 Ruger #1's for sale or did everyone put down there deposits? Let me know as I NEED ONE! thanks Dale

Looks like we will have some left after all orders with deposits are filled. I wasn't expecting Ruger to send so many at once. I thought they would 'trickle' in. :)

Very interesting indeed!

clay please let me know when one comes available, thanks Dale in T-Bay

It looks like we'll have most of these within 10-14 days. I'll be contacting people shortly to let them know and get $$$ started so we can ship as soon as they come in.
Right now, it looks like there are 6 unspoken for.

I'm a little excited myself, probably won't get to hunt with it this fall, probably not enough time to develop a load and choose optics, Caribou this year has only a 3 week window in September...

Pessimism of any kind, shape or fashion will not be tolerated in this thread. :p

I am looking forward to seeing you knock down a stag with that rifle. :D

Sounds like you could've sold 50 extras! Glad I put my deposit down in March!

Yes, we've got another 50 'ordered' byut we may not get them until after the other US dealers get theirs. I'll be contacting people to get the balances paid off so there is no delay in shipping.
Called the CFC to get a FRT number today so the registrations won't be holding us up.
Lots of consecutive serials for those wanting them.
