Now all we need is someone to start making 215gr KKSP bullets...![]()
Seriously though, this is a bright point in CGN history.
- A lot of the new mfr IVI .303 made for the Canadian Rangers is made with 215 gr KKSP. It comes in 20rd brown cardboard boxes. They only give out the new mfr 174 gn Mk VII Z for Connaught, I think, and mostly issue the 215 gr stuff for normal use so the lads won't hunt with 174 gn ball, though if someone is with the Cdn Rangers, kindly feel free to correct me.
- Which leads to the fol questions:
1. Is IVI making these 215 gr bullets, using 'old (VERY old) stock', or buying them from a sub-contractor?
2. If they are making them, does the GD contract with DND allow GD to sell the bullets (NOT the cartridges) commercially? Prob not.
3. If a sub-contractor, then WHO is making them?....
