So I went to the local gun shop today, I'm looking at the CZ P07 Duty. I like the feel and look of it and I'm talking to the guy that took it out of the case to show it to me. Over comes one of the other sales people and says to me, It's a nice pistol but you can't shoot 147 grain bullets or hotter loads because the frame can't handle it. If you want to shoot hotter loads then you have to get a metal frame pistol like a CZ 75. Wow what's up with that. My Sig pro hasn't blown up or the numerous glocks I've fired military loads from! I know you can't expect sales people to know everything but don't you think that is a little silly?

as far as i can tell, the punishment is taken by the barrel and slide and MAYBE the spot where the recoil spring rests against the frame.

As a caring individual, I will foster these poor abused polymer friends. Simply pay the shipping to my door, and when the twinge of guilt becomes unbearable, send a donation.

I'm not a newb nor am I spreading anything bear.23. Just wanted to share a funny experience with everyone. What is really funny is that most of the people that work there have the attitude they know it all. Quite funny I think.

....beewhaha..a joke. the clerk providing such weird info is hilarious.

I love sales persons. Say whatever it takes to get the product out the door.

Some years ago, I was in a gun shop in the US, a major chain actually, when I asked where the Glocks were at, the sales person told me that Glocks are unsafe on a number of counts so that chain did not sell them, but they had a very nice ____ (fill in the the blank) I might be interested in.

I am back 6 months later and they have a display case full of Glocks. I ask why they started selling Glocks, different sale person says they have always sold Glocks, a quality firearm why wouldn't they sell them?

Too funny.

please go back and kick the clerk in the nuts. Hard, repeatedly. Tell him I said it was ok.

Name me a gun shop anywhere that the sales people don't think they know everything about everything and that customers don't know anything. I am sure there are some but they are hard to find. That doesn't mean they aren't good people but almost everyone of them very quickly becomes an expert on almost everything. Another thing I have found if they don't sell a certian product they mostly spend most of there time running it down and promoting there product.

Another grip of mine is when I tell them that I was reading things on the boards on the gun web sites I am always told that the people on the gun sites don't know anything about anything.
