Hi. Picked up a Brownells catalogue and am considering ordering a few things. Will they ship USPS to avoid the dreaded brokerage? The items will not be gun parts.

The only gun part I'm considering getting is a metal guide rod to replace the plastic one on the new Sigs. I understand Topgun supply won't ship to Canada. If I can find one in the states are there any issues shipping to Canada? It should only be about $12. I did some searches but couldn't come up with the rules for ordering from the States.

Thanks

They will only ship to Canada one way and it will cost you appr $20.00 for shipping to get that $12.00 item up here...

Sometimes I have to pay the taxes and sometimes I don't.

Google Sigpower, this is a guy from sigforum, he sells guide rods and other upgrade part for your sigs. No problem shipping to canada. Email him for shipping price, last time I checked his website was screwed (charged like 50$ shipping lol).

Thanks for all the input guys. Appreciate it. For future reference is the maximum in gun parts $100? (excluding frames/barrels). Is that CDN or US? Can shipping be on top of the $100? Thanks

That is $US, shipping doesn't count. If you are explicit with Brownells they will ship as specified. I usually wait till I have a bunch of parts nearing the 100 mark and separate the tools. Never had problems in 30+ years, except the one time they shipped a small package UPS.

The $100. cap is for "gun parts" only, and it is the wholesale value in U.S. dollars - not the retail value - that is used to calculate it. You can add any amount of other products onto the same order.

If the item you want costs more that US$100. (wholesale) or if the item you want is a barrel, frame, receiver, slide, or a (breech block) bolt, you'll need to get an IIC from Canada's DFAIT and then Brownells will have to get a DSP-83 from the US DOS prior to their export of the order to you.

Brownells will ship by whatever method you specify. IME, USPS is the best and most economical method. The only time that Brownells cannot ship to you by USPS is when it is a restricted item, such as too heavy, too long, a firearm, etc., and when the postal service won't take it, but a courier will.
