i also wonder if i could get the parts to build my MR223 to get that look..

I'd like to see how the stock works with the buffer tube being that short.

I think I saw that design a while back (maybe from shot show pictures?) and it looked pretty cool.

Yeah i see no point in spending that much unless you have a lot of cash, there are just way to many better options for that price and the money can go to more important things like ammo/scopes/gear/night-vision etc etc..Or another rifle!

Besides the MR223 is everything you need and more, you get less for the value with just an upper and for that price you can just buy 2 MR223 or have 1 MR223 and 1 MR308. Plus the MR223 comes with a target style barrel where as the most 416 uppers that I have seen are of older models like 04/05/06.

I might get one down the road but i will not pay that price! Even if it came with the lower.

It couldn't come with the lower as it would be F/A, I'd love to have one but other than kicking down doors in durka durka stan I couldn't justify the cost at least if it were on my own dime. That's the thing though I want the 416 Upper cause it works on any normal AR lower not German butchered H&K MR223.

We (SPEX) have been working on a PDW AR for the past few months. Only ours is cooler cause it has a shorter barrel (6.5") and in the government version an integrated sound suppressor. :cool:

It is only 23" OAL with the stock collapsed.

These images show the stock prior to being sent off for anodizing. The civilian version will have a large diameter SPEX brake instead of the silencer (sorry :( ).

The biggest reason the SPEX PDW is better than the HK is that it is made in Canada by a couple of good Canadian kids ...... G:

Well no kidding, did you patent your design at all?

If HK beat you guys to the punch, they might try and sue for patent infringement, just to warn you.

If you patented the idea before HK got to it, then I'd say you have a pretty good case for patent infringement or something....

I don't find myself clearing rooms all that often in my day-to-day life, so all I use my rifles for are making those holes on the paper as close together as possible from as far away as the range goes. I never said it was a bad thing if you liked SBR's, but they're not my cup of tea.
