AR-15 builds

Hey guys, after playing with my Armalite AR-15 for ages and ages, I have consistantly shied away from swapping parts and uppers, etc... as I loath modifying something that works so sweetly.

No however, I have decided to go and build a second AR just for that purpose. Swapping and altering and so on.
So I have a Q as I already have a complete lower awaiting an upper.

1. Bolts & Carriers. Are all bolts and carriers the same dimensionally? Can I put a DPMS bolt and carrier in a Bushy upper reciever?

for the most part the answer is yes, how ever some mill uppers "colt or demeco" have a large hole at the front, this means nothing, and will not afect anything what soever.
