An M1 carbine and Mauser C96 clone sounds appealing.

Yup, So far my favourite Ideas in this thread. And the fact that CanAm already stated he's working on an M1 Carbine in a pistol Calibre makes me interested to see what else is being researched. I wish the C-96 was a more viable pistol to copy because I would buy one for sure. I love the idea of a stripper clip fed pistol in a common calibre (Red 9) Id use it in CDP just to screw with people.

I'd gladly grab a 7.62x25 version of the C-96 (could we call that a Red 7.62?) as well. I hear you can get 7.62x25 tokarev on those neat stripper clips, and it would be like shooting the original since 7.62 tokarev is pretty much a close copy of the original 7.63 mauser cartridge.

It's a little late for that law don't you think? I think they already have the intelectual property of all of our active small arms.

I remember on my 3rd trip to china going to a (large) book store in China and seeing a few different childrens books on western arms. .....know your enemy and all....

What about a copy of a M203 grenade launcher that shoots 12ga rounds?

M203's are what? 15" in length? That would make them restricted.

Then again, I assume most of the buyers would be putting them on AR-15's, so that doesn't really matter.
