Loooking to purchase some GunKote or similar coatings, and prefer to spend at a Canadian retailer. I've searched here but can't find anything on the forum.
The Shooting Edge (see their banner at the top of this page) carries Arma-Coat. I've never used it but have read nothing but good things about it. I don't ever recall seeing KG GunKote for sale at any Canadian dealers.
I am not trying to talk you into or out of any product but I have used Wheeler Cerama-Coat on a couple of pistols and was really happy with the results. So far it seems to wear well and can take a couple of dings with out chipping. It is a bake-on as well. The trick is to make sure that you clean and sand or steel wool just the imperfections before you spray it on or they will show through and give the rest of the metal a good soak or wipedown with methyl hydrate or brake cleaner to get rid of any oil.Three light sprays about half an hour between coats and in the oven for an hour at 350. It is a matte finish, but was just messin' around one day and used Mothers mag polish and it ended up really high gloss. It comes in a 4 oz can and is supposed to be able to do 2 long guns. The cost was around $35 from Frontier.

I have used his products on and off for yeard, love it!
Just have to get the epoxy to paint mix right or it will not spray well.
