Yep, right here. I had an extra Rem 700 LTR kicking around so I thought, hey, why not do one up in winter camo. It is already painted so why not strip it down and try something different ? Well, I got the first finish coat on tonight and I already do not like it. Dammit.

What! No pic of the bad paint job? You know better than that:D

Not quite as bad as that old post on the Ford Explorer forum where some guy accidently got bedliner on his "hootus". Darn near died laughing just reading it, should have seen the removal recommendations on that one!

Should be able to just paint over it? Or sand blast it off and try again? Any autobody shop could do the blasting.

Well, I spent about 3 hrs last night taking the rifle apart, cleaning the new paint, the new primer, and the old paint. Fun stuff. I now have the rifle back to matte black, just as God intended it to be :D

PS - I didn't have the stomach to take pics. I really could not stand the sight of the thing, even the morning after. I'm sure some of you know what I am talking about *LOL*

I painted up a CZ 527 American "Style" when I was bored last summer. I got bored of it this summer and had a hell of a time trying to remove the paint. I then decided to give the entire gun another coat of paint in flat black, which seems to look a lot better! I still wish I had just left it as is though..
