Cranbrook Deer - Protective Doe

I just got back from Kimberly B.C. We spent a week down there, and were there when this 'deer incident' took place. FYI, Cranbrook is only 29kms from Kimberly and Kimberly is crawling with mulies, walking around sidestreets, back allies, lawns etc... which makes it exactly like Whitecourt, btw.

I can't believe all the people whining and #####ing about this thing, and talking #### about how it'll be a kid next time. That's BS. These deer, that live in town are not dangerous to people that leave them alone.

Tell me the time and location of any fatal deer attacks...

The BS that some Cranbrook residents were saying on the local radio makes you shake your head. #### like this is a black mark on our city and idiot stuff like that...

How bout this......
Wild animals do not belong in the city - tree huggers fault/tree hugger government
Parents should take responsibility for their kids roaming the streets
Pet owners should keep their pets inside or fenced/chained

All problems solved. In this case, sorry bout your luck but its your fault!

People who let their pets run loose should be fined and the pets put down.
Especially DOGS! ! ! I hope that deer puunched that dogs ticket and its too bad it didn't get a few more licks on that damn cat.

It has f**k-all to do with being a tree hugger or anything to do with the Gov't. That's a dumb-ass statement!!

I love the fact that these animals live in town or wander through town.
I watch coyotes and deer out my back window. The rutting mule deer in Nov-Dec are really interesting to watch.
What's not to like about that!?

In Whitecourt, we have whitetail deer and mule deer 24-7-365.
We get elk occassionally, but so far I've only seen them on the edge of town.
In winter we get moose that wander in, the more severe the winter is, the more moose show up. Encounters with winter-stressed moose can be bad. Avoid!
On the local golf course we get the odd black bear, in fact the bears wander along the river, which runs right through town. Best to leave that sow with cubs alone, hey?

LOL oh no, not being aloud to control animal herds so they don't do things like this in big cities deff has nothing to do with having a government pulled along on a short leash by tree huggers. Oh and nobody cares what you see in your backyard so go hug a tree.

Why is it the dog and cat fault that the owners are irresponsible?

Just for the record there.....its JUST a cat and its Just a dog. If pet owners dont like taking responsibility for their pets than they shouldn't have a pet. Also if this was a per say a coyote and a bob cat out in the wild and they got the snot kicked out of them by some mother animal y'all wouldnt be crying over spilled milk. There just animals........not people...... not a big deal.....

Not sure about the rest of you guys, but I was glad to see the cat take its fair share of the whoppin. :D

At least the dog was trained to ignore deer....#### happens.
We keep dogs tied up because of owners that are too lazy and stupid to train, socialize, and condition their dog to its environment.....That Not the other way around.

Nature does what it does...Just try to stay out of the way when its mad!

My friends little girl (10yrs old) was chased by a pit bull and some mangy Shepard cross that a local clown was looking after for a buddy. Both dogs are vicious. I wish I'd have been there, I'd have taught them both to lay down and stay with a couple squeezes of the trigger.

You're right they are not people.

People tend to show us who they are, it's up to us to believe them.
