I have had my Norc M4 for over a yr . Before Marstar ever admitted they were getting them & mine is not metric thread .
You must be thinking of the early full length Norc AR's that had metric threads

Agreed, the CQ556 (M4 configuration) has standard threads on it the earlier CQ311s (M16 configuration) were the ones with the metric threads.

About $500 per $1000 unless you convert to .22lr and then it's about $40 per $1000....

A gas piston system would be a must, as running corrosive ammo in a traditional gas tube direct impingement system would be less than fun to clean.

Its in another thread, not from Norinco, its a US manufacture. And yes they do have gas-piston ability/kits.
