M4 carbines

here is a suggestion, shop somewhere else. The product is not for sale, your name was put on a waiting list.

Everything was pretty clear from the start, including the "expected" delivery times. If you don't like waiting... move on!

John,

Thank you for doing your best!

Here is a suggestion, do not offer any product for sale until you have it in your hands, then all these problems go away................

but if you pre- order it goes so much quicker when the goods arrive- i'd much rather ship from a list of PAID or PROCESSED ( that means the invoices are already wrote up, you just have to phone and get approval numbers) than put it on the site, and wait for the orders to come in- and that cuts down on the customer wait times as well- this generation is too used to I WANT IT NOW- i've waited months to have have items shipped, mostly b/c i'm LEFT HANDED, and that takes a SPECIAL MIRROR IMAGE at the factory- not so bad now, but back when we southpaws were only 12% of the population, most gun makers didn't stock a l/h model or just plain didn't make one- now they just limit the calibers it comes in- so buy semis and levers FROM OTHER COMPANIES instead

The thing thats starting to irritate me with this thread is people that have bought from someone else keep piping up ... Like everyone else has stated , we were able to call to put our names on a waiting list and thats what it is , S**T happens on delivery times give the guy a break already ! This is getting out of control ,,, Thanks very much John , your doing all you can !

It would appear your suggestion has merit, we are considering just that....

We were asked by our customers to offer pre-order service
we agreed to give it a try since many said they wanted to be able to plan their budget for future purchases....

It is now obvious that this attempt to work with our customers has been a failure....We seem to be catching more hell than ever.... Oh well you can't make everyone happy.

:( But I like being able to get my name on a pre-order list... Would a workable compromise be to announce the product, allow pre-orders, but only refer to delivery time frame as " Expected delivery in 3 - 6 months" ?

I'd hate to see your pre-orders go away, but at the same time I can completely understand why you may end up going that way...

no John you can never make some people happy even if to offer to hand deliver it.
some people are just plain pain in the ass. will take the hit from moderator.
and John if you had not offered us the preorder every tom #### and harry would still be paying 900 for the same rifle. people have short term memories now. all that tv they watch. thanks for doing what you do and don't let people get you down. i honestly like people, i just can't stand the general populace.

and for John sake i sure hope that boat doesn't sink or get boarded by pirates cause i could just hear the #####ing if there even later.

Whoa John...am I missing something? I, for one, like the preorder system you've got going on (so much so I wish it was on the NP22's)...don't let some nay sayers wreck it for the rest of us. Negativity seems to run rampant on forums...don't let it get to you man, there are alot of us still on that preorder system waiting patiently. I just wanted you to know that even though we don't write alot of things into the forum we still appreciate your hard work in bringing these products in.

:D:D <-- 2 smileys for you

they could shoot the pirates with all those guns lmao, unless ammo is on another ship

Don't let the few..... spoil it for the majority.

agreed X2 .... John you know where your loyal customers stand and we are not getting excited , you did say it was expected, it was not set in stone. The pre-order is a big help for most of us , thanks for your hard work and just keep on keeping on... thanks

hey , you guys should be thankful there's a list to get on- those of us who are waiting for "UNCLE GUIDO" m14s are still operating on vapourware- and i NEED AT LEAST 3- it's a real temptation not to buy chop suey

Hundreds of Marstar customers are pleased with the OPPORTUNITY to receive a pre-order opportunity. We understand the transaction - and were not asked to assume any risk here. Those who want to buy NOW can do so from other suppliers. The rest of us are informed - and content.

Agree with the above posts. The 'PRE' in pre-order gives it away. This is not an order, no monies have changed hands. All we did was sign up to ensure we would have a chance to order at a later and unspecified date.

If deposits had been taken or full amounts billed that would be different, but they haven't so I don't see why there are so many negative comments. It costs nothing to get on the list, and nothing to get off it.

I think its a great idea to have the pre-order list, I'd like to be able to pre-order a few other items that are coming in this year. Gives me a chance to ensure I get what I want and I don't have to monitor websites every day to check for stock, and hope I don't miss out when things arrive.

I think the preorder is great, but it must be treated as preorders for say the same as software in development, you can preorder and the arrival date is "when it gets here" if you are not happy with that time frame then do not preorder and do not complain because that is the policy. Thanks for trying to work with us John, even if some don't appreciate it, I sure do!
